Should I post here more?

I keep hearing tell of magical LJ communities for things like TTC and bipolar, and I am intrigued, but I haven't bothered to get around to 'em yet. Should I? y/n/maybe?

BPAL Decant Circle: Velvet Paintings

Right-ho, this is going to be run across several locations (TWWS, Jack & Amy, and here); I keep all order records in a spreadsheet, so you only need to sign up in one place.

There's been a lot of BPAL-enabling among my friends lately, and I like running decant circles, which means I order bottles of perfume, then use a disposable plastic transfer pipette (new! no scent contamination here!) to split them up into smaller glass vials that hold a bit less than 1mL each. There are five decants in each bottle, so spaces are listed accordingly.

Decants for the Velvet Paintings series are $4 each (this covers the cost of the perfume as well as the cost of the glass vial, the pipette, labels, and printer ink -- in case you're curious!). Shipping for up to five decants is $3 within the US (including delivery confirmation); $3 to Canada; for international I'll get you an exact figure. 5-10 decants will be $3.50 shipping to the US or Canada; again, check for international shipping. This covers shipping supplies and postage to and from me.

A full set (one of each) is $43.50 including shipping, not including PP fees.

I accept funded and CC PayPal, but because I have a premiere account I ask that you cover the PP fees, which you can calculate at http://www.ppcalc.com, or I can math it up for you. These will generally be around $1. My PP address is jeniac at gmail dot com; if you send me a payment please please put TROLLS - Velvet - (trolls username) in the subject and copy your order into the message body. OK? Please mark the order as "Goods" for your protection as well as my ease of shipment.  I have excellent feedback on swaps and decant circles (and in my Etsy shop, blah blah) so you shouldn't have to worry about it unless I am eaten by a shark.

Payment is due within 72 hours of signing up for decants UNLESS YOU TELL ME you will have a delay. I am nice and happy and laid back as long as you let me know what to expect. All payments must be in no later than May 5, 2009, because that's when I place the order, at the very latest. If any bottle does not fill up at least 4 of the 5 spots, I may cancel it, in which case I of course offer partial PP refunds as needed. I will add second bottles as waitlists fill; if a second bottle is added, the empty will go up for grabs.

Any questions, ask away. I may be lazy about getting this up on other sites tonight cause I have stuff to do, like play a farming simulation video game. Ahem.

The scents can all be seen at the bottom of the page here:

I think this was one of the last things I posted...

...on my old LJ. Strange, hm? Anyway, I turn 30 in May, and 30 deserves a new tattoo. So on May 1, I'll be getting this piece:

the next tattoo

interpreted onto the inside of my left forearm. Imagine that -- a tattoo I will be able to see without engaging in contortionist yoga! It's a drawing by Tolkien, and the artist I spoke with says he should have no problem doing it without heavy outlining (which I think would destroy the loveliness of the drawing). Birds, flowers, trees, and Tolkien, all in one sitting? Yes please.

He says it'll only take 2-3 hours which, after my leg piece, will feel very short indeed. Or very long. It has been two years.

Recursion is Fun, Just Don't Get Stuck in an Infinite Loop

4/9: All shipped! Please let me know when yours arrive!

4/6: Here
! Decanting now, they should go back out by Wednesday -- I will update and let you know.

4/3: CnS! That was FAST!
3/28: Order'd!

3/26: I'll be placing this order tomorrow -- we still have a few spots open so spread the word ;) My BPAL.org feedback is here.

Just an update as of 3/23: I will probably wait one more week to see which spots fill and then go ahead and place the order. I am still waiting on one payment :) but as I won't be ordering TONIGHT or anything, please just keep in touch and let me know what's up. If you know anyone who might be interested in a decant, ESPECIALLY of the Penitence series, please send them this way!

It seems we aren't able to post CT:5 circles on BPAL.org because they won't be up long enough, but I would personally love to at least sniff them all. Plus I just got 200 empty vials and a whole lotta shipping supplies, and there's nothing I love more than making spreadsheets about perfume -- so decant circles are pure win for me.

As of right now, I will only be ordering one bottle of each CT:5 offering, but if the circle is popular and/or there is demand, I am happy to add more bottles!

Looky here! )

Sales & Swaps

This list should be the same as my sales and swaps on BPAL.org; because I am, sadly, not a ro-bot, you may notice some lag from here to there and vice versa as I must update manually. Alas.

Things you should know:
  • I accept payment via PayPal, funded or CC. I can also work with you on checks or money orders, or well-concealed cash, but of course shipping will be delayed in this case.
  • I like to include frimps from wishlists, soaps, teas, candies, crocheted goodies, etc. If you have allergies or aversions, please let me know!
  • All my perfumes are stored in a dark box in a cool drawer. I do have three cats but they are not allowed to roll in the precious.
  • Many of my imps have come from swaps or sales, because I'm still fairly new to BPAL. I've marked the ones that are Lab-fresh; otherwise, consider that they are at least 3/4 full and in reasonable shape. If you have questions about a specific imp or decant, let me know. I store in ammo boxes so the labels may be curled although I find if you curl it 'round the other way for a day or two it's like new.
  • Shipping is: $2.50, First Class with delivery confirmation within the US; $3.50 First Class to Canada; most other international destinations are $4-5 but ask so I can give you an exact quote. I recycle padded mailers. If this bothers you, let me know.
  • I have a feedback profile here on Livejournal and it links to my forum, etsy, and ebay feedback pages as well.

And now, on with the sales. )

No, seriously

I already have an LJ and about eleventy blogs, but I figured this can serve as my catchall, sort of like an actual journal: For stuff that's too long for Twitter and not polished enough for the Little Birdhouse. Also, surveys. I sure do like filling out surveys. Also, decant circles. So. Yes.

Welcome. Entries of a personal nature will likely be friends only, so if you are my friend, feel free to ask for access.
